Last month MEC had the pleasure of assisting a local high school student with his Eagle Scout project. The Eagle Scout Service Project is the opportunity for a Boy Scout to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of his community.

John Havrilla is a student at Hinsdale South High School and chose to work on a project that would benefit his high school’s marching band by designing and building a organizer/storage cart for the band’s color flags. MEC provided him with dedicated space where he and his team were able to cut plywood, assemble the cart as well as paint and apply graphics. Their finished project looks great and it was a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
